About  Us

Welcome to St. Elizabeth's Adult Day Care Centers: Our Story and Mission

Founded in 1981 by Sister John Antonio Miller, St. Elizabeth's Adult Day Care Center (SEADCC) emerged at the forefront of healthcare innovation, addressing the growing need for supportive services for older adults and individuals with special needs. Sister John recognized that many families faced the difficult decision of placing loved ones in nursing homes due to caregiving challenges. Determined to offer an alternative, she pioneered the concept of adult day care in St. Louis.

Initially established at St. Elizabeth Academy, SEADCC quickly expanded under Sister John's leadership, with multiple sites across the city and surrounding areas.

Collaborating with the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, Sister John's mission was supported by a commitment to providing affordable, compassionate care that allowed families to maintain their loved one's independence and quality of life.

Today, St. Elizabeth's Adult Day Care Center continues to uphold Sister John's vision and values. Our dedicated team, guided by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, remains committed to serving individuals ranging from 18 to 90+ years old, facing various health challenges such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, and more. With centers in Metro St. Louis including Arnold, Florissant, St. Louis, St. Charles, and St. Genevieve, Missouri, we extend a warm welcome to all visitors seeking a caring environment for their loved ones.

At St. Elizabeth's, our mission is rooted in faith and compassion, striving to enhance the lives of over 200 families by providing meaningful activities, personalized care, and a supportive community. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see a loved one, our doors are open, and our team is here to greet you with warmth and hospitality.

"My daughter attends and absolutely loves it. Everyone is so good with all the participants regardless of their needs. They take such good care of all of them. It makes me feel so much more comfortable knowing my daughter is in a loving environment with such caring individuals."

Our Mission

Our Mission

St. Elizabeth Adult Day Care Center's mission is to provide a safe, comfortable, wholesome and stimulating environment for the aged and persons with special needs.

We will accomplish this by operating as a Christian institution, by recognizing that each person, staff and participant, is to be respected, loved and cared for as a Child of God.

We will serve participants in conjunction with their families by respecting the dignity of each person, fostering a Christian concern for one another, and developing or maintaining the capabilities of each person.
